Yes, unless exempt, the Victorian Government requires all anglers, including clients on fishing charter vessels, to be in possession of a current Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence. Under 18 or over 70 years old, pensioners, and seniors cardholders don't need a fishing licence.

Prices vary according to your destination. Bay charters (Snapper and Mixed Bag) are $200 per person. Offshore Tuna charters start from $300 per person. All charters include rods, reels, tackle, bait, and full guidance from Mal. You just need to bring your fishing licence, food, drinks, and sunscreen. See our charters for full prices.

No, we understand it's not always possible to organise a whole group. Find a suitable date and make the booking, and we will try and fill the remaining spots for you through our booking system. If you'd prefer a private experience, you can also book the whole boat exclusively for your group.

We can host up to 8 passengers, for offshore fishing trips or around the bays. This keeps the experience personal, uncrowded, and gives everyone plenty of rod space.

No deposit: full payment is taken online when you book. Pick your charter, date and departure, enter your details, and pay securely through Stripe on the last step. Your spot is held as soon as the payment goes through, and Mal confirms the booking by email within 24 hours.

• Snapper and Mixed Bag charters: $200 per person on a shared charter, or $1,550 to book the whole boat for 8.
• Offshore charters: $1,800 for 6 people, or $2,400 for 8.

There is nothing more to pay on the day. Visa and MasterCard are accepted, and gift vouchers can be applied at checkout.

Yes, when supervised by an adult. We suggest children from 6 years of age, as they are able to cast and reel in a catch. Bay charters (Snapper and Mixed Bag) are the best fit for kids. For safety reasons, a minimum age of 12 years applies on offshore Tuna charters due to the longer duration and open ocean conditions. All junior anglers must have an appropriate fishing licence unless exempt.

Bay charters usually depart from Carrum or Hastings, depending on the charter and conditions on the day. Offshore Tuna charters leave from Hastings at 6:00 AM, all year round. Mal will confirm the exact departure point when your booking is confirmed. See where we depart for maps.

Yes. We will provide bags for your catch, and please leave an esky in your car to keep your catch fresh on the way home.

Warm clothes, a hat, sunscreen, a spray jacket, a camera, and leave an esky in your car to keep your fish cool on the way home. Bring your Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence, food and drinks for the trip, and non-slip footwear. All fishing gear is provided: rods, reels, tackle and bait are included.

You are welcome to bring food onto the boat (no bananas). Please note there are no heating facilities to warm food.

Safety is the top priority. If conditions are deemed unsafe, Mal will contact you as early as possible and you will be given the opportunity to reschedule your fishing charter. If no other day is suitable, a full refund can be organised. Offshore Tuna charters are particularly weather-dependent due to Bass Strait conditions.

Yes. Gift vouchers start at $50 and can be put towards any charter, so they suit birthdays, Father's Day, Christmas or any excuse to get someone on the water. Buy one on the gift card page, pay by card, and it is emailed straight to the recipient with a copy to you. Or call Mal on 0418 769 384. To use a voucher, enter the code at the checkout when booking online, or give it to Mal over the phone. Vouchers are valid for three years and any balance left over stays on the voucher.

The peak Snapper season (October to December) books out fast, so we recommend booking as early as possible, ideally weeks or months in advance. Tuna charters are also popular and fill up quickly. Off-peak Mixed Bag charters generally have more availability but booking ahead is always recommended.
